Maureen Velile Majola is a passionate human rights defender and activist. Her advocacy spans women’s rights, LGBTQ+ equality, and child protection, rooted in both faith and social justice. Maureen has collaborated with various NGOs to amplify marginalized voices and promote dignity for all.
She holds a qualification in Archives and Records Management and is currently pursuing a degree in Psychology, blending academic insight with grassroots activism.
Her work embodies Hi-Gitters’ values of integrity, respect, and transformative leadership, making her a powerful force for equity and inclusion. She is the lead Convener for both the provinces of Limpopo and Mpumalanga.
